Marcel van Kooij - Arnold + Siedsma

Just like last year, Marcel van Kooij, European patent attorney from Arnold + Siedsma will be attending BioBusiness Event 2010 as Expert.
Marcel has a Master’s degree in biology from the University of Utrecht, where he specialized in molecular biology, molecular genetics and biochemistry. Marcel completed his PhD in biomedicine at the University of Groningen, concentrating on the development of a vaccine against herpes simplex virus. Before joining Arnold & Siedsma, Marcel worked as a post-doctorate at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, specialising in the genetics of lung cancer. Marcel’s patent practise deals mainly with biotechnology, biochemistry and pharmaceuticals. Besides daily representing national and international clients in IP matters worldwide, Marcel teaches Patent Laws at the Centre for International Studies of Industrial Property, University of Strasbourg, France and occasionally assists as a tutor at the Dutch training course for patent attorneys. |
