Marcel Wijma, Senior Equity Analyst Biotechnology at SNS Securities, will give a keynote presentation on the next BioBusiness Event. Marcel has worked as financial analyst at several investment banks in the Netherlands (Robeco Group, Petercam, Bank Oyens & van Eeghen) and is specialized in the analysis and assessment of public and private Life Sciences companies. In 2004 Marcel co-founded an investment fund called De Mello Life Sciences to focus on the selection and investment of private and listed Life Sciences companies. He also co-founded and was Director of Van Leeuwenhoeck Research, until it was acquired n 2006 by SNS Securities. At SNS Securities Marcel managed to build up a biotech team focused on getting a leading position in biotechnology in the Benelux.

Marcel also has a Life Sciences column at one of the largest investment websites (IEX.nl) in the Netherlands. Marcel Wijma graduated in Financial Economy at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam.
