Joost B.M.M. van Bree, Ph.D. (1962), Managing Director, joined Pepscan Holding N.V. in January 2000, and holds an M.Sc in pharmacy and a Ph.D. in pharmacology, both from Leiden University. He worked in various international management positions in the fields of pharmaceutics, clinical pharmacology, drug development and regulatory affairs with Sandoz (now Novartis), Pharmachemie/OPG and lately Pharming, where he held the position of VP Clinical Development and Regulatory Affairs. Dr. Van Bree carries over 10-years industry experience in successfully bringing conventional and biotech drug through development and registration, while in addition he has extensive hands-on experience in elaborating and managing pharmaceutical co-developments as well as in private and public fund-raising.
