First BioBusiness Event a big success!

The first edition of the BioBusiness Event, held on the 18^th of May in the Beatrix Theater of Jaarbeurs Utrecht, attracted almost 300 visitors. Additionally, a large part of the 1.300 participants of the Bio Career Event also paid a visit to the BioBusiness Event. In total nearly 1.600 persons and more than 90 Life Sciences organizations gathered at the Jaarbeurs Utrecht, making the combination BioBusiness & Bio Career Event a big success! A survey was held amongst the visitors and the exhibitioners of the BioBusiness Event, about 15% filled in the evaluation form. The most important conclusions are described below.

Most visitors of the BioBusiness Event came to network (56%) and to meet potential partners (20%). The question whether the BioBusiness Event had brought them useful contacts or conversations was responded affirmatively by 74% of the visitors. The visitors gave an average score of  7.4 on all elements together. (on a scale of 1 to 10). The presentation of the Masterclass Biobusiness Award and the nominees was highly valued with an average score of 8.3. The keynotes in general were rated a 6.8, the location scored a 8.9 and the organization a 7.9.

The combination of the BioBusiness Event with the Bio Career Event was very much appreciated; 80% of the respondents said: Great combinations, keep it like this! In addition, almost two thirds answered positive on the question if they would visit the BioBusiness Event next year (64%).
